We cover a wide range of trade volumes from 55,000 up to 177,000 DWT with great flexibility on trade routes.
Generally, we are fixing our vessels on the spot market. Depending on the timing vessels can be fixed for short to medium time charter periods. The post fixture is as well operated through our offices by highly trained and experienced personnel offering services daily on 24 hours basis, ensuring very low to non-existent claim records.
Flexibility and minimum response time to charterers enquiries and continuous adaptation to any changing conditions and demands is achieved by this department.

Operations department is the heart of Gleamray’s activities. Our experienced operators provide full support to the ships’ masters on the planning of voyages and cargo operations whilst protecting the owners and charterers interests.
Vessels operations are continuously monitored throughout all phases of their voyages to ensure that no commercial disputes arise and their performance is scrutinized constantly to ensure that charter party terms are rigorously complied with.
We closely monitor vessels’ performance (speed, consumption, rpm in conjuction with prevailing weather conditions) so as vessel's speed/bunkers consumption to be the optimum.
Special attention is given to the correct preparation of pre-stowage plan/loading-discharging sequence plan/bunkering plan and clear instructions are given to the vessels prior loading operations ,prior discharging operations and prior bunkering operations.
Vessels operations are continuously monitored throughout all phases of their voyages
We are in close communication with P&I clubs in order to check for any possible problem/difficulty we may face at various ports of call and take all necessary preventive measures for avoidance of any short loading/short landing of cargo.
Emphasis is given to the important issues of ballasting/de-ballasting operations, safe berthing/unberthing procedures along with sea/river pilotage throughout vessels' voyages and holds cleaning preparations.
Detailed information/guidelines are provided to the vessel regarding cargo to be carried in order to ensure its smooth loading/carriage and safe discharge, especially for cargoes which require special attention and handling.

In close coordination with independent manning agents, we select and circulate our crew on regular basis.
The training of our crew and their updating on the industry's new developments is an ongoing endless process. All crew, prior boarding our vessels, are familiarized with the company's ISM policy.

Gleamray has a long history in ship design and construction, having commissioned and built over 25 new vessels under its direct and indirect supervision since its first new building order.
Our technical department is operating our vessels with a comprehensive, clear, precise and carefully planned management system.
All technical matters are dealt with a proactive approach therefore have developed an excellent planned Maintenance system and at the same time a preventive maintenance program.
The effectiveness of above have resulted in (far below the average in the market) minimizing of any mechanical and other failures whilst ensuring that all vessels remain at all times in a fully operational condition fulfilling the highest market demands.

On that basis , we have established our Company's Safety, Health, Environmental Policy in order to manage the health and safety risks our seafarers and employees are exposed to, as well as, the environmental risks, aiming to eliminate accidents at sea, and to minimize the environmental impact of our fleet's daily activities.
Our Company, Gleamray is certified by the Class "Bureau Veritas" , IACS member for compliance with the ISM Code and the MLC 2006 , and is also committed to providing a secure working environment for all our seafarers under the provision of the ISPS Code.

thorough analysis of Company's vessels' accidents/incidents/ non conformities and distribution/ circulation of lessons learnt within the fleet aiming to the prevention of reoccurrence of same or similar incidents.
frequent internal audits on board vessels of the fleet within each year by DPA for monitoring and ensuring SMS full compliance on board.
continuous monitoring of all national and international rules and regulations governing the Marine Industry for Company's early full compliance.
taking all necessary actions as to keep our fleet at the highest possible rating in RIGHTSHIP's database taking and implementing the actual steps towards quality improvement.
Our HSQE department's successful compliance with our set objectives, is reflected among others to the majority of our vessels' accomplishment of being awarded with QUALSHIP 21 Certificate by the USCG. Less than ten percent of all foreign-flagged ships that operate in the United States, have earned this designation, putting vessels of Gleamray's fleet in an elite class.
Gleamray considers good seamanship and highest navigation standards to be fundamental for maintaining an excellent safety record.
The top priority of our marine department is to promote and reinforce our crew’s strong safety and seamanship cultures, especially for navigation and cargo operations.The marine superintendents, monitor shipboard routines through frequent attendances on board and on a daily basis via electronic reporting, reviewing passage plans and assisting Operations department in the preparation of loading plans.
More specifically marine superintendents focus on:
Conducting vessel’s internal audits and preparing relevant reports.
Inspecting each vessel of our fleet at least twice per year, evaluating their condition while issuing job orders list as required.
Monitoring the ship deck and medical inventories.
Monitoring the deck and safety equipment maintenance onboard in cooperation with technical department.
Checking/approving vessel’s requisitions as regards charts, licences and publications in coordination with the relevant departments.
